The Director of the Medical School of USP, Prof. Dr. Tarcisio Eloy Pessoa de Barros Filho, has signed an accord with the Medical School of the University of Lisbon, on November 30^th, in a meeting with the representative of the University of Lisbon, Prof. Dr. Fausto J. Pinto, and with the coordinator of the consolidated accord, Prof. Dr. José Eduardo Krieger, of the Department of Cardiopneumology.

The meeting was focused, in its first part, on the interchange of teachers and students from the Department of Cardiopneumology from the two Universities, since both Prof. Fausto J. Pinto and Prof. José Eduardo Krieger are part of this department in their associated universities. In a second moment, the director of FMUSP and the Portuguese professor talked about a possible expansion of the accord to other universities from countries where Portuguese figures as an official language.
