The University of São Paulo Medical Rotations program is an educational initiative by the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP), designed for medical students in their 4th, 5th, and 6th years (Also Open to Physical Therapy Students). This program provides students with practical, hands-on experience in various medical specialties within the largest hospital complex in Latin America.
Participants in the program can choose from various specialties such as surgery, cardiology, trauma and acute care surgery, vascular surgery, head and neck cancer, and more. During the program, students will have the opportunity to follow the daily routines of their chosen specialty, engage in practical activities, and work under the supervision of experienced professionals from the University of São Paulo.
The program aims to enhance medical students' clinical and technical skills by immersing them in a real hospital environment, promoting an exchange of knowledge, and fostering an international learning atmosphere. It includes both formative and summative assessments, and upon successful completion, students receive a certificate issued by the University of São Paulo.
The program's costs vary based on the student's country of origin: USD 1,000 for students from Latin America and Africa, and USD 2,000 for those from other regions.
