Representatives of the University of Groningen (Netherlands) met in the Board Room of Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP), on January 13, 2023, in order to discuss a partnership for Dual-Degree in the program of MD-PhD from both institutions.

Professor Roger Chammas, Head of Office, Professor Valeria Aoki, President of the International Relations Committee, and Prof. Luiz Felipe Moreira, President of the Graduate Commission, represented FMUSP, while the Dutch institution was represented by Prof. Han Moshage and Doctor Joyce Fongers, Internationalization Coordinator at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Groningen. The meeting was also attended by student Anna Massella Patsea, an exchange student from Groningen who is taking elective courses at FMUSP.

The foreign delegation was also integrated by five other visitors: professors Paul deVos, Machteld Hylkema, Klaas Nico Faber, Hermie Harmsen, and researcher Doctor Claudia Reyes. They met with professors from various areas of FMUSP and other units of Universidade de São Paulo.

FMUSP's Integrated Research Training Program in Health Sciences (MD-PhD) offers the opportunity for college graduates to develop a solid scientific base and advance their academic career.
