By the third consecutive year, the Medical School of USP gathers directors, professors and collaborators to trace the guidelines and goals of the Medical School of the Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP). The FMUSP Planning 2019 is an initiative of the Medical School’s directory and was held on December 10th, at the Inrad. Prof. Yassuhiko Okay, head of office, participated as a representative of Director Prof. Tarcisio Eloy Pessoa de Barros Filho and the Vice-Director, Prof. Roger Chammas, besides the presence of Dr. Felipe Neme de Souza, Executive Director, professors and leaders of several sectors.
A general panorama was done for the updating of the actions executed in the year of 2018, by all of the thematic pillars (Humanization, Integration, Sustainability, Internationalization, Teaching Excellency and Innovation). Afterwards, there was a dynamic on monitoring and indicators; the announcement of the work fronts; and an activity for the planning of the goals and feasible justification for the next year, for each pillar.
Prof. Yassuhiko Okay said “we are building a participative institution, so that everyone is a protagonist of the processes and not mere executors of their functions”.
The FMUSP has made an effort of cultural change, altering the work model. Dr. Felipe Neme has said “we need to reflect on the integration of people inside an institution, the idea is to link teachers and collaborators to better the performance of the Medical School”. He completed: “I have been noticing an improvement and I thank the effort of all of you”.
