Creativity, courage and competence are some of the attributes which allowed the team of more than 19 thousand staff from HCFMUSP to overcome the scenario of the Country by hitting excellency records, as shown by the speakers on the opening of the 7th Workshop Glow in the Eyes 2018, held on November 8th. The gathering of thematic pillars of management continued on November 9th on the Center of Conventions Rebouças, with a long debate on the proposition of paths for the next years of the biggest hospital complex of Latin America.
With better advancements in the last few years, the clinical director of the HCFMUSP, Prof. Dr. Eloisa Silva Dutra de Oliveira Bonfá, highlighted the implementation of the integrated system of hospital information, the Hospital Information System (HIS), as well as the new logistics operator for stock automation. She also highlighted the creation of the computerized Bedside Map, which allows the monitoring of the status of the Bedside in real time, supplying the automation of occupation and permanence indicators, besides optimizing physical and human resources.
Creativity in times of crisis has boosted the search for solutions such as the creation of the Time of Quick Answer, Blue Code, Yellow Code and White Code, which optimized the hospital services, emphasized the director.
From 2011 to 2018, the Clínicas Complex received the same level of financing of the Unified Health System (SUS), of 7,5% of the budget. “Nevertheless, we finish the year with virtually the same volume of attendance, hospitalizations, surgeries and hospital discharges. We have 2.000 fewer servers from 2015 to 2018, among public and foundation servers. Meaning, we did more, with much less”, says the superintendent of the HCFMUSP, Antônio José Rodrigues Pereira.
The Director and the Vice-Director of FMUSP, respectively, Prof. Dr. Tarcisio Eloy Pessoa de Barros Filho and Prof. Dr. Roger Chammas, has participated in the opening ceremony of the gathering, besides Prof. Dr. Carlos Roberto Ribeiro de Carvalho, supervisor doctor of HCFMUSP; Prof. Dr. Flavio Fava de Moraes, general director of the Medical School Foundation (FFM) and Prof. Dr. Jose Otavio Costa Auler Jr., former director of FMUSP and elected general vice-director of FFM (Prof. Dr. Yassuhiko Okay will stay in the transitional role until January 1st); and Prof. Dr. Paulo Eduardo Moreira Rodrigues da Silva, president-director of the Zerbini Foundation.
